Number of cattle in December 2010

The total number of cattle has decreased by 7 479 animals between December 2009 and December 2010. The number of dairy cows decreased by 1,6 %, while the number of other cows increased by 3 %.

The total number of heifers, bulls and steers has decreased by 2 % or 8 702 animals since December 2009. The number of calves, on the other hand, has increased by 1 077 animals during the year 2010.
