Summary
Decreased slaughterings of pigs in January 2009Slaughterings
of pigs decreased with 6.7 % in January 2009 compared to the same period in
2008 and slaughterings of cattle increased with 1.4 % during the same
period. The slaughterings of chickens increased with 1.9 % during January‑December
2008 compared to the same period in 2007. The quantity of
milk delevered to dairies increased with 2.8 % in January 2009 and production
of drinking milk decreased with 3.7 % compared with January 2008. Production of
cheese decreased with 6.8 % and production of cream was unchanged during the
