Summary

The prices for animal feeding stuffs have increased with 3,1 % between July 2001 and July 2002. Input price index has increased with 1,3 % during the same period. Otherwise the highest increase is for veterinary services and machines and other equipments. Fertilizers and soil improvers is the single post with the highest decrease, 6 %.

Output price index has decreased with 4,4 % between July 2001 and July 2002. This can mainly be explained by the prices for cattle and pigs which has decreased compared with the same period last year. During this period last year the prices for cattle and pigs where higher than usual.

Price index for the Food Industry, food from price regulated agricultural products (PPI-J), and Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated agricultural products (KPI-J), has increased with 3,4 % and 3,0 % during the same period. The increase of KPI-J is 0,8 percent unit higher than the general development of consumer prices, calculated with KPI (Consumer Price Index).

Between Mars 2001 and Mars 2002 the Swedish prices for means of production in average has increased with 3,0 %, which is considerable more than the EU-average, which was 0,7 %. On the other side Sweden had an average decrease with 1,9 % in producer prices during the same period, while the prices in EU increased with 1,7 % in average.
